Can you upgrade firmware and then use iPhone, which is unlocked with previous version firmware?

Just unlocked my new iPhone. Had some problems with getting it setup with T-mobile unlimited internet access for a sec but thats because I was overthinking the process.
Loving it now.

So let me get this straight. All we have to do to unlock the iPhone for T-Mobile is update the firmware or use the SDK? If so that would be pretty easy then I'd probably get an iPhone.

iPhones are really expensive, but you can rely on its quality and features. Like in my case, I can surf the net, check email, and browse internet in any place that have a wifi connection with iPhone.

Nice recommendation. Thanks! :)
