With the the iPhone just released, Gizmodo reports that iphoneunlocking.com are "beta testing" a iphone unlocking service and that arstechnica has the story.
I guess time will tell whether these business are legit.

I have an iphone and am looking to get this unlocked but the site you speak off is an email address collector. I requested my unlocking code 3 days ago still waiting. I have also sent an email to the support email address that they gave me and no reply from them. If you have an iphone don't go to this site it's a fake.
